OnePlus today introduces OnePlus Scout, a software feature to help OnePlus users find anything on their OnePlus smartphone. This new OxygenOS feature was developed in OnePlus’ India R&D centre in Hyderabad. The new feature is being piloted for Indian OnePlus users and currently available as Beta as a part of OnePlus Launcher.

Using OnePlus Scout, the OnePlus users can perform actions that previously involved three or more clicks with one swipe up from the Home Screen. It allows you to find files, contacts,, music, apps etc. on your device via the current app drawer. It also lets you browse content in your apps, like movies, nearby locations, services, and more. Additionally, OnePlus Scout allows you to you can find solutions to simple math problems, find the latest news, look for the weather in any city or even use the microphone available on the search bar.
The OnePlus Scout feature is part of the OnePlus launcher beta program on Google Play Store. It will be made available to all OnePlus users in India in the stable version in the coming weeks based on the user feedback. OnePlus has also confirmed that, it is revamping its India-specific features like Work-Life Balance and SMS Categorisation with the upcoming OxygenOS 11.
