Update (12th November) -Thunder Purple India Launch: OnePlus 6T Thunder Purple variant was first introduced in China on 5th November and now, OnePlus is all set to launch the new color variant in India. The new color variant is available in 8GB/128GB Storage configuration and priced at ₹41,990. It will be available from 16th November on Amazon.in, oneplus.in at 2 PM, and in Croma outlets, Reliance Digital outlets and all OnePlus exclusive offline stores starting 11 AM on the same day.
According to OnePlus, “The new Thunder Purple Edition of OnePlus 6T comes with a gradient back that fades from black to purple under the frosted glass-backed OnePlus 6T, with the evocative ‘S’ curve racing across the back and highlighting the depth of color”.

Update (5th November 2018): Thunder Purple China Launch: OnePlus today launches OnePlus 6T Thunder Purple color variant in China. As of now it’s available only in China and might roll out to other countries in the coming days. Expect the color, all other specifications remain the same as the standard OnePlus 6T variant. Earlier (29th October 2018) – OnePlus 6T Global Launch: OnePlus announces OnePlus 6T, the successor of its popular OnePlus 6 at an event held in New York City. Compared to OnePlus 6, the OnePlus 6T comes with an all-new Waterdrop display, an in-display fingerprint scanner, an upgraded battery and a bumped up front camera. It sports a 6.41-inch Waterdrop display with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and has a resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels. The key highlight of this device is the Screen Unlock also know as In-display fingerprint scanner that unlocks the device in 0.34 seconds.
Coming to the performance, the OnePlus 6T is fuelled by the same Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform which is present on the OnePlus 6. It is offered in three configurations – 6GB RAM with 128GB Storage, 8GB RAM with 128GB and 8GB RAM with 256GB storage. In the camera side, the company has kept the same dual-camera setup which is present on the OnePlus 6. The Dual camera setup includes a primary 16MP f/1.7 sensor and a secondary 20MP f/1.7 sensor vertically positioned with Dual-tone LED flash. The front camera has an upgraded 20MP sensor with ƒ/2.0 aperture and supports advanced Portrait mode. Similar to OnePlus 6, all three cameras of OnePlus 6T are also made by Sony. It supports Dual SIM, VoLTE and lacks an expandable storage slot. Also, this device lacks a fingerprint scanner and a 3.5 mm Audio Jack.
