After a few weeks of testing, OnePlus has officially started rolling out Android 9.0 Pie update to OnePlus 6. Android Pie Open Beta for OnePlus 6 was announced on 3rd September and the company has released three beta updates before making it official to everyone. Android Pie on OnePlus 6 features a brand-new Android Pie UI, Android P gesture navigation, expanded accent color customizations etc.

Similar to other updates, Android Pie update for OnePlus 6 is also a staged rollout. From today, it will be made available to a limited number of users and will expand to others in a few days after making sure there are no critical bugs. OnePlus also said that using VPN to download this build will not work as the rollout is not based on regions and is randomly pushed out to a limited number of devices. Furthermore, OnePlus also mentioned that, Starting with Android Pie, OxygenOS version number will correspond with the Android version number.
