Official YouTube App for Fire TV Devices and Prime Video App for Chromecast & Android TV Devices now Available in India

Official YouTube app for Amazon Fire TV is now available in India on Fire TV Stick and Fire TV Stick 4K, both of which include the Alexa Voice Remote. Also beginning today, the Prime Video app is also available for streaming to Chromecast, Chromecast built-in devices, and Android TV devices. Customers can find the new YouTube app tile in their ‘Your Apps and Channels’ row.

YouTube App for Fire TV Devices

The official YouTube app on Fire TV supports Alexa voice controls that help you find, launch, and control content using your voice. When you open the app for the first time you’ll be automatically prompted to download the app. Once installed, simply say “Alexa, open YouTube” or click into the app to sign in to your existing YouTube account and access the full library of content including subscriptions, playlists, & recommendations. Additionally, you can also play compatible videos in 4K HDR at 60 fps on supported TVs and streaming media players.

Prime Video on Chromecast

Along with the official Youtube app for Fire TV devices, much-awaited Prime Video App is also now available on Chromecast and Android TV Devices. To use Chromecast on Prime Video download the latest Prime Video app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Chromecast and Chromecast built-in users, as well as Android TV users, now have access to the Prime Video catalog, including latest seasons of Amazon Originals, live events, Prime Video Channels, and newest Amazon Original movies. Prime Video also offers access to 4K titles included with Prime at no additional cost.
