Nokia 8 Sirocco is is an upgraded version of Nokia 8 which was introduced in August 2018. Apart from the processor, Nokia has made few changes to the design as well to the camera department. The major highlighting part this device is its design. It has a dual diamond-polished stainless steel frame features a 3D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 that curves around all sides. It sports a curved edge-to-edge pOLED 5.5-inch display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and powered by the octa-core Snapdragon 835 CPU with 6GB of RAM. Due to the Glass back, this device now supports Wireless charging and charges the 3260mAh battery from 0 to 50% in 30 minutes. The fingerprint scanner is mounted on the rear side of the device below the camera module.
Another key highlight of this device is the dual camera setup on the rear side. The setup includes a 12MP Wide-angle f/1.7 sensor and a secondary 13MP Telephoto f/2.6 sensor with 2x optical zoom. It supports Pro Camera mode and allows you to manually adjust the White balance, Focusing, ISO, Shutter speed etc and to see the results in real-time. For selfies and video calls, you will get 5MP f/2.0 snapper that supports Display flash. You can even record the audio up to 132 decibels using the Nokia spatial audio technology with three microphones. Similar to newly launched New Nokia 6 and Nokia 7 Plus, the Nokia Sirocco also comes under Google’s Android One program where you’ll get regular security updates and 2 major OS upgrades. Other key features are Dual-sight mode, WiFi ac, Android Oreo, VoLTE, USB Type-C port, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and NFC.
The Nokia 8 Sirocco is offered only in Black color and available to buy from early April 2018 for a global average retail price of €749 (Approx. ₹60,000). Due to the absence of 3.5mm Audio Jack, Nokia is bundling a Type-C to 3.5mm adapter and also a USB Type-C Headphones along with every device.
