Just after launching the high-end smartphone Nokia 8 in India, HMD Global announces Nokia 7. It comes with a 5.2-inch full HD IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top and fuelled by the Snapdragon octa-core CPU and 3000mAh battery. Nokia 7 comes in two RAM variants – 4GB and 6GB with 64GB onboard storage on both. You can also extend the device storage up to 128GB using a microSD slot. As it houses a Hybrid SIM tray, you can use, either two Nano SIM cards or a Nano SIM and a microSD card. Coming to the design, it has a 7000 series aluminum alloy frame with diamond-cut beveled edges and a 3D glass curvature at the rear side. The fingerprint scanner is placed just below the rear camera.
Both front and rear camera unit includes ZEISS optics for better low-light photography and also supports Nokia OZO Audio to record better sound quality. The front camera has a 5MP sensor and the rear camera has a 16MP sensor coupled with a Dual LED flash. You can even shoot 4K videos at 30 frames per second. Similar to Nokia 8, the Nokia 7 also supports ‘Bothie’ that allows you use both front and rear camera simultaneously in the split screen mode and it can also be live streamed to social feeds such as Facebook and YouTube. It runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and upgradable to Android 8.0 Oreo in the coming months. Other key specifications are Bluetooth 5.0, USB type-C port, GPS, and WiFi ac.
Nokia 7 will be offered in Black & White hues and goes on sale in China starting 24th October 2017. The 4GB variant is priced at ¥2,499 (Approx. ₹25,000) and 6GB RAM at ¥2,699 (Approx. ₹26,500). You can pre-order Nokia 7 on JD.com, Suning, and Tmall. There is no official information about the availability in other markets such as India.
