Android 9.0 Pie Update Started Rolling Out to Moto G6 Plus

Moto G6 Plus was announced Globally in April 2018 followed by the India launch in September 2018 with Android Oreo out of the Box. Now, this mid-ranger has started receiving Android Pie update with December 2018 Google security patches in India. Android Pie update on Moto G6 Plus includes various new features such as Intuitive Navigation and Recent app, an improved Do Not Disturb mode and, Revamped split screen, Redesigned quick settings, Simplified volume controls etc. Find the full changelog below.

  • Security enhancements – an alert tone will be heard when a call is being recorded to all parties

As the update is rolling out in phases, might take some time to reach every device. You’ll receive the notification once the update is available on your device. For a successful installation, Motorola recommends installing the update over WiFi with 50% or more Battery.
