  1. I have issue like connection drop.
Every few hours the router does not login and internet on wifi is down.
The mode was set auto earlier. Then 11 then 6. Still connection drops in periodic fashion.

    The firmware is latest too.

    • Hi,

I have been using this repeater from past two years and never experienced such issues. Reset and set up your repeater using the method mentioned in the post.

  2. Hi, we’ve just installed the router few days back but I forgot the admin password is there any way by which I can get that back? Thanks in advance!

  3. Hi Satwik,

How to setup the MI Router 3C as a wired amplifier with ACT Fibrenet? My problem is that the ACT (earlier Beam Cable) provided a device in our apartment that supports only speeds up to 20Mbps (as mentioned to me by an ACT support guy) and where as my package supports speed of about 40Mbps. I called up the Act customer support and the guy said I can use a Ethernet cable to connect my ACT router to the new MI Router and use it as an extender. But I’m not sure how to do it.

Can you please let me know how to configure the MI Router as a wired amplifier?

    Thanks in advance

First of all, you can directly connect the ACT Cable to Mi Router 3C and use it as a primary device. If you want to use it as a Wired Repeater, Follow the below instructions.

-> If the Router is already in use, Reset it.
-> Now the connect your Mi Router 3C to ACT router using the Ethernet cable.
-> Open the MiWiFi app on your smartphone.
-> In the setup screen, Select ‘Wired Repeater Mode’.
-> Follow the on-screen instructions. Input the Username and Password.

    • Hi Zeeshan, Mi Router 3C is compatible with Tikona Broadband. Follow the same method as mentioned in the tutorial. Make sure you have connected the RJ45 cable to WAN Port (the port with Blue color).
