LG K8 (2018) and LG K10 (2018) with Improved Camera, Fingerprint Scanner Goes Official

Just before the Mobile World Congress 2018, LG has announced two new entry-level smartphones dubbed as LG K8 (2018) and LG K10 (2018). Both devices come with an improved camera with high-speed autofocus and noise reduction for better low-light photography. Also, both devices support LG’s new camera feature called Flash Jump Shot that takes photos every three seconds and combines them to create a GIF. In terms of looks, both LG K8 and LG K10 are almost identical and comes with the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. These smartphones boot on Android Nougat out of the box.

LG K8 (2018)

The 2018 edition of K8 has better camera performance than the previous generation K8 2017. It has a 5-inch HD display and powered by the 1.3GHz quad-core processor mated with 2GB of RAM. The internal storage offered in 32GB which can be further expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card. It has an 8MP rear camera, 5MP front camera and also supports Auto Shot, Gesture Shot, Quick Share etc. This smartphone is offered in three hues – Aurora Black, Moroccan Blue, Terra Gold. LG K10 (2018)

It has a slightly bigger 5.3-inch display and fuelled by the 1.3GHz quad-core CPU with a non-removable 3000mAh battery. The LG K10 (2018) is available 3 variants – K10, K10α, and K10+ with different RAM, Storage and Camera configurations. The 13MP camera on the K10 and K10+ supports PDAF and also includes the same technology which has been used in the flagship LG G6. The 8MP front camera supports Bokeh mode. The fingerprint scanner is placed just below the rear camera and it can also be used to take quick snaps and to take screenshots. The K8 2018 is offered in three colors –  Moroccan Blue (K10 Only), Terra Gold, and Aurora Black.

There is no official information about the pricing and the exact date of availability. As per the company, both models will roll out globally in key regions such as Europe, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East. Also, Visitors to MWC 2018 can experience the new K8 and K10 at LG’s booth in Hall 3 of Fira Gran Via from February 26 until 1st March 2018.
