Lenovo announces Lenovo Z5, the first smartphone from Lenovo to come equipped with a display notch. It sports a massive 6.2-inch Full HD+ 19:9 display with 90% screen-to-body ratio and fuelled by the octa-core Snapdragon 636 Mobile platform with a quick charge supported 3,300mAh battery. It is offered in two storage sizes – 64GB & 128GB with 6GB RAM on both. Apart from the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, it also supports Face Unlock.
In the camera department, it has dual camera setup on the rear with 16MP primary and an 8MP secondary sensor placed vertically with a LED flash. The front camera has an 8MP sensor and support AI beautification. It houses a Hybrid SIM tray and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with Lenovo’s ZUI on top. It will also be upgradable to Android P and ZUI 4.0. Other key specifications are Double-sided 2.5D Glass, Gesture controls, VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0 and 5GHz WiFi ac.
The Lenovo Z5 is offered in three hues – Aurora Blue, Black, and Indigo Blue colors and available to buy in China starting 12th June 2018. The Black color variant with 64GB storage is priced at 1299 yuan (Approx. ₹13,600), Aurora & Indigo variants with 64GB at 1399 yuan (Approx. ₹14,600) and the 128GB variant with Aurora & Indigo Blue variants at 1799 yuan (Approx. ₹19,000).
