Just after launching the Lava Z50, an Android Go Edition smartphone, Lava has launched its first 18:9 aspect ratio smartphone Lava Z91 in India. It has a 5.7-inch HD+ Full View display with a resolution of 1440×720 pixels and powered by the MediaTek quad-core processor with 3GB of RAM. The internal storage offered is 32GB and that can be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card. It has smooth glass finish on the back and as per Lava, the finish is achieved through the same process that is used in the manufacturing of luxury watches. Its Dual SIM 4G smartphone runs on Android 7.1 Nougat with Lava’s own custom UI StarOS 4.2 on top.
Apart from the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, Lava Z91 also supports Face Unlock, where you can unlock your smartphone using your face. Furthermore, the fingerprint scanner can also be used to perform various functions such as taking selfies, Locking apps etc. In terms of Camera, the rear camera has 13MP f/2.0 sensor and the front camera has an 8MP f/2.2 sensor. Both front and rear cameras include a LED flash and support various camera modes such as Beauty, Bokeh, Funny Cam, Templates, Video Beauty, Time-lapse Video etc. Other key specifications are VoLTE, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, FM Radio, and a Micro USB port.
Lava Z91 comes in Blue color and priced at ₹9,999. It will be available to buy through more than 100,000 retail stores across India by mid-April 2018. Similar to other Lava Z series smartphone – Z10, Z25, Z50, Z60, Z70, Z80 and Z90, this smartphone also comes with 2 years of warranty.
