JioPhone 2 was first introduced during the company’s 41st Annual General Meeting held on July 5th, 2018 and it was supposed to go on sale on 15th August 2018. During the launch, there wasn’t any official information about the mode of sale. Now, Jio has confirmed that, JioPhone 2 will go on sale starting 16th August at 12PM via a Flash Sale. The sale will be conducted through Jio.com and also through My Jio app.
The JioPhone 2 comes with the same 2.4-inch QVGA display which is present in the 1st Gen. JioPhone and has 4GB of internal storage. For photography, it includes a 2MP rear camera and a 0.3MP front camera. The key highlight of this device is the QWERTY keypad with the 4-way navigation button. Coming to the software, JioPhone 2 runs on KaiOS and comes pre-loaded with various apps such as MyJio, JioMusic, JioTV, JioCinema, JioGames, JioPay, JioAssistant, JioXpressNews, and JioVideoCall. Apart from these apps, you can also download the apps such as Facebook, Google Maps, Youtube etc. from the JioStore.

Note: During the JioPhone 2 launch, the company had announced that Youtube, Facebook, and WhatsApp apps will be made available to download on both JioPhone and JioPhone 2 starting 15th August. But there may be a slight delay for WhatsApp to arrive. YouTube and Facebook will be available to download through JioStore starting 15th August 2018.

- Open Jio.com on your browser or open MyJio app on your smartphone
- Select JioPhone 2
- Enter your Pincode and proceed to checkout
- Enter your details such as Name, Email ID, and Mobile number
- Select the Payment mode from available options
- Pay ₹2999 using the selected payment mode
- You will receive an Order confirmation notification through an email and SMS once the payment is approved
JioPhone 2 Recharge Plan
JioPhone 2 comes with three different tariff plans – ₹49, ₹99, and ₹153. The ₹99 plan comes with unlimited free voice calls, 500MB data/day and 300 SMS for 28 days. The ₹49 plan will give you 1GB data for 49 days and ₹153 plan will offer 42GB of 4G data for 28 days.
