Huawei announces Huawei Watch GT 2, the successor of last year’s Huawei Watch GT in India. It is available in two sizes – 42mm with 1.2-inch Super AMOLED display and 46mm with a 1.39-inch Super AMOLED display. Both variants have a 3D glass screen and compatible with smartphones running on Android 4.4 or later and iOS 9.0 or later. It supports sleep monitoring function and also notifies the user if the heart rate is above 100bpm or below 50bpm for more than 10 minutes.
Coming to the performance, the Watch GT2 is powered by Huawei’s proprietary Kirin A1 Chipset that includes an advanced Bluetooth processing unit, a powerful audio processing unit, an ultra-low power consumption application processor and a separate power management unit. It comes with 2 weeks of battery life after one charge, supports Bluetooth calling, in-device music and capacity to store and play 500 songs. According to Huawei, this watch can operate continuously for up to two weeks with both the intelligent heart rate monitor and call notification functions.
It supports a new Triathlon mode that can record the entire triathlon, including the transition time. The triathlon comprises swimming, cycling, and running. The watch also provides coaching in introductory to advanced running courses to assist one in real-time while also offering guidance training and time-movement effect feedback. The watch runs on Huawei’s own operating system called Lite OS and can last two weeks in one charge.
The Huawei Watch GT2 will be available across Flipkart, Amazon.in, Croma and other leading retail stores. As a part of a pre-sale activity, the customers who prebook the watch from 12th to 18th December will get a free Huawei Freelace worth ₹6,999.
