How to Install iOS 10 Beta on Your iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch?

Apple has released iOS 10 in WWDC 2016. Initially, it was available only for registered developers. Now its open for public. If you have a compatible Apple device then you can easily update your device to iOS 10 Beta using Apple beta software program. As iOS 10 is in beta stage, it will have few bugs and your favorite apps / games may not work properly. So we advise you not to install on your primary device.

Bellow tutorial will guide you to install iOS 10 Beta on your iPad. Follow the same method to install it on your iPhone or iPod.

Important Note : Before you install iOS 10 Beta, Backup your device in iTunes. Read this article to know more about backup and restore process.

1.Open Safari on your iOS device and head to Apple’s Beta Software Program Website. Sign in using your Apple id and password.


2. Tap on ‘iOS’ Tab.


3. Scroll down and click on ‘Download profile’ button.


4. After clicking download profile button, Install profile screen will pop up asking you to install iOS 10 beta software profile. Tap on ‘Install’ button at the top right.


5. Enter the ‘Passcode’. Read the Apple consent and Tap ‘Install’ on the top right. Tap ‘Install’ again in the pop-up.


6. After installation, A pop up will ask you to restart your device to apply changes. Tap on ‘Restart’.


7. After restart, Go to Settings -> General -> Software Update.
You will see the iOS 10 Public Beta 1. Tap on ‘Download and install’. Enter the ‘Passcode’. Read the Apple’s terms and conditions and tap on ‘Agree’. Now iOS 10 will begin downloading.

Download size is different for different devices. iPad Mini 2 download size is about 1.7 GB. Once the download is complete, Tap on “Install now” which installs iOS 10 on your device.
