Honor Announces Honor View20 with Three World-First Technologies

Huawei’s sub-brand Honor today announces three world-first technologies – a 48-megapixel rear camera, the Honor All-view display and the Link Turbo. All these technologies are part of its upcoming flagship View20 which is scheduled to go official in China on 26th December followed by the Global launch in Paris on 22nd January 2019.

48 Mega Pixel Front Camera

The industry-first 48MP camera has a Sony IMX586 sensor that delivers High-defination images and also provides better details when zoomed in. The technology, coupled with the AI computing power and graphic processing power enabled by the dual-ISP and dual-NPU of Kirin 980 Processor that will automatically perform multi-frame image processing, allowing the users to collate the essence in multiple photos taken by the 48MP camera and create a 48MP AI high-definition image. Honor All-view Display

Honor’s All-view display has a world-first, in-screen front camera design, achieved by an extremely complex 18-layer technology stack that carefully embeds the front camera in the display area of the screen, extends the display area giving the screen to body ratio of 91.8%.

Link Turbo is a new technology by Honor that uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) & big data to analyze the user’s usage model and network conditions. It switches seamlessly between Wi-Fi or 4G networks and boosts downloading speed by simultaneously adopting both networks.

Commenting on the announcement Jimmy Xiong, General Manager of HONOR Product said. “As a trendsetter, HONOR continues to push the limits of innovation and product craftsmanship, we endeavor to continually deliver technology breakthroughs to the world and deliver exceptional experiences for our users.”
