Tez, a digital payment app by Google was introduced in September 2017 and just within a span of three months, it processed over 140 million transactions from nearly 12 million active users. During the MadeForIndia event held in December 2017, Google had announced Bill Payment support for Tez app and now the feature is started rolling out to Tez users. As of now, only a few billers are supported and more will be added in the coming days. Once you pay a bill on Tez app, the billing organization will be added automatically to the list of billers and also Tez will remind users when bills are due. Once the user completes the Payment, the status will be updated automatically which avoids paying the same bill twice.
Note: Make sure, you have the updated version of Tez app installed on your smartphone ( Android | iOS ). As its a staged rollout, it will take some time to get out to everyone.

How to Link Your Utility Account to Tez App?
- Open Tez app and select ‘New’ from the home screen and then select ‘Pay your bills’
- Select the Biller
- Tap on ‘Get Started’
- Fill the required details such as Username or Account number etc
- Review the entered information and tap on ‘Link account’ button at the bottom
- If any bill is pending, it will be shown in the billers. If you have already paid the bill, the status will be updated as ‘No pending bills’. You will get the notification once the next bill is generated
