EMUI 9.0 OTA Update Based on Android 9.0 Pie Started Rolling Out to Huawei P20 Pro and nova3 in India

Update (15th January 2019) – Almost two weeks after the announcement, Huawei has finally started rolling out the EMUI 9.0 OTA update based on Android 9.0 Pie to Huawei P20 Pro & Huawei Nova3 in India. Back in October, Huawei had announced EMUI 9 update based on Android 9.0 Pie for the Indian market without mentioning the supported devices. Now, the company has officially confirmed that it will soon roll out the EMUI 9 update to its popular Huawei P20 Pro and Huawei nova3. This update comes with an all-new gesture-based navigation system that allows users to perform various Navigation bar actions with a tap or a flick.

The EMUI 9 update in India will feature key contributions from the Huawei India Research & Development team that includes Local language support up to 28 languages, Local calendar as per the Indian market and deeper integration for the Paytm app. Apart from these features, the major highlight of EMUI update is Digital Wellbeing that help you track and manage the time spent on the smartphone. You can track individual apps to know how much time you have spent on a particular app. Moreover, to control the children’s activity on the smartphone, parents have the option of setting usage limits for specific applications.
