Android Pie Based ColorOS 6 Update Available for Realme 1: Changelog, How to Update

Realme has a finally started rolling out its much-awaited ColorOS 6 update for its popular Realme 1 smartphone in India. The Android Pie-based ColorOS 6 update on Realme 1 includes various new features like new navigation gesture, app drawer, Riding mode, Live wallpaper etc. and comes with version number CPH1859EX_11_A.37. The update has already rolled out to many users and others will receive the update in a couple of days due to the staged rollout. Realme has also provided the Firmware file so that people familiar with the manual update process can update their device. There are two ways to download the update on your smartphone – Using File Manager mode & Using Recovery mode. You can download the Realme 1 ColorOS 6 update file using this link. The file size is about – 2.2GB.

Update Realme 1 using file manager mode

  • Transfer the firmware you downloaded to the phones storage
  • Go to the File Manager and find the firmware file
  • Click the Firmware and tap on Update now
  • Wait for the update to complete

Update Realme 1 using Recovery mode

  • Transfer the firmware you downloaded to the phone storage or SD card
  • Power off the device
  • Press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons, until your phone enters Recovery mode
  • Choose the language you want
  • Select ‘Install from storage device‘ and find the firmware from phone storage or from SD card
  • Click on the firmware and confirm to update

Things to remember

  • Backup all the data before updating the device
  • Make sure the battery level over 30%
  • Do not perform other operations until your phone is updated successfully
  • Do not turn off your phone during the update process
  • You can also visit the nearest service centre to update the device
  • Do it on your own risk
