Google Officially Announces Android 8.0 Oreo

Back in March 2017, Google had announced the first developer preview of its upcoming version of the mobile operating system – Android O. Today, the company has officially announced Android 8.0 Oreo. It comes with various features and enhancements such as Picture-in-Picture mode, New emojis, Faster boot time, Notification dots etc.

The system images of Android Oreo are available on Google’s developer portal for the Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus Player, Pixel C, Pixel, and Pixel XL. Any devices enrolled in the Android Beta Program will also receive this final version as an OTA update. There is no information about the OTA update schedule. You will get the notification once the update reaches your device. If you can’t wait then flash your device using the official system images.
