Amazon launches Echo Flex, an Alexa-enabled plug-in smart speaker in India. Unlike other smart speakers, Echo Flex doesn’t include any wires or power adapters, instead, it can be plugged directly into a standard electrical outlet. Additionally, the Echo Flex has a built-in USB-A port so you can easily charge your smartphone (7.5W) or other compatible devices.
You can simply ask Alexa to control compatible smart home devices. Echo Flex works with devices such as smart lights and plugs from brands including Philips, SYSKA LED, Oakter, TP-Link and more. You can also make announcements on other Echo devices in the household and just like other Echo devices, you can connect the Echo Flex to other preferred speakers using Bluetooth or a 3.5 mm audio cable for higher audio output.
There is even a microphone off button placed on the front side of the device that electronically disconnects the microphone. Additionally, you can view, hear, and delete your voice recordings at Alexa Privacy Settings or in the Alexa app at any time. Apart from the app, you can also delete the voice recordings by saying .“Alexa, delete what I just said” or “Alexa, delete everything I said today”.
Echo Flex is already available for pre-order on Amazon.in and shipping begins December 2019. As a limited period offer, buyers can avail a Wipro 9W Smart LED bulb worth ₹2,099 for no additional cost on the purchase of every Echo Flex on Amazon.in.
